Geert Wilders, the head of the Dutch PVV held a speech about the Paris attacks and the consequences for The Netherlands and Europe. As the national language of The Netherlands is Dutch, and naturally most Europeans and non Europeans don't speak Dutch, I found it important to open this door through translating his speach, giving access to more people.
Madam President,
129 innocent people. All killed. Hundreds injured, including three compatriots. Friends enjoyed together with a drink on the terrace of Café Le Carillon and Petit Le Cambodge in the tenth arrondissement. Girls just went down to Pizzeria La Casa Nostra on the Friday evening and the start of the weekend enjoyed. They were victims of the bullets from the Kalashnikovs of the Muslim terrorists.
Couples who dated with each other on the terrace of restaurant La Belle Equipe, brutally and ruthlessly murdered.
And all those people, young people, who went to the concert at the Bataclan music hall just down the eleventh arrondissement. Innocent people in blind panic like rats in a trap. The last thing they heard was the cry of triumph of evil, proud of the enemy: Allahu Akhbar. Slaughtered in a massacre unprecedented.
Immense suffering. Indescribable. I have no words for it. All that pain, all that pain, all those innocent people that their partner, father, mother, children, siblings, friends and acquaintances involuntarily left behind in inhuman and hard to bear sorrow.
President I share that grief. But I'm also angry. Very angry. In Paris were so many people in the prime of their lives brutally deprived of life by Muslim terrorists, including returning foreign rebel fighters in the Syrian Civil War. According to media reports was one of the terrorists went with the flow of refugees into Europe. How often have we been warned?
President, what happened this weekend in France tomorrow could also happen in the Netherlands. That is the terrible reality. Because the government, this government, our government shamefully neglects its duty. The asylum procedure in the Netherlands is one big Swiss cheese. Even cheaters with false papers can just come here under the present asylum procedure, with all the risks that entail. And almost 12,000 people this year alone entered through the asylum procedure without papers. Unbelievable. We do not know who we let in. So we make it for the evildoers and terrorists very very easy.
Not only Dutch Foreign rebel fighters of the Syrian Civil War can return, but also terrorists or foreign rebel fighters of the Syrian Civil War, can enter into France or Belgium, and through Hazeldonk just enter our country with a trunk full of Kalashnikovs and bomb belts. Because the borders are still wide open. Molembeek, the Gaza Strip in the Benelux, is barely an hour's drive from the Netherlands.
As I said in the debate that we had here in this Chamber in January this year after the cowardly attacks also in Paris on Charlie Hebdo: How many attacks must happen, how many innocent deaths should still fall before you, Mr. Prime Minister, until the penny finally falls?
Of course it is war. It's already since 1400 years. That war is called jihad. Jihad is the core of Islam. That is not an opinion but a fact. That's a given. The only question we have to answer is: will we finally fight back - or do we draw our capitulation?
And I say through you, Madam President, to the Prime Minister: We can’t achieve anything through tough statements about war if no appropriate measures will be taken. What have you done exactly since the Charlie Hebdo debate in January? 60 000 extra fortune seekers have entered the country. An Islamic invasion, you have facilitated. 12 000 last month alone. According to the EU, next year even three million people will enter Europe. Thanks to your open borders, Mr. Rutte.
And the Prime Minister stands there and looks at it. But I am here for the safety of the Dutch. That's all that matters now. And I say through you to the Prime Minister in the strongest possible terms: Connect these limits for returning foreign rebel fighters in the Syrian Civil War and the asylum seekers. This must happen now. Make sure that all the foreign rebel fighters from the Syrian Civil War, there were I think 40 at the beginning of this year, which have returned to the Netherlands, you have allowed to come back, put that under custody, put them under custody today. We have seen that if we don’t do that, it can lead to what happened in Paris. It cannot be that if we don’t immediately lock up the enemy, we also fall into the same trap here in The Hague or Amsterdam, and have the same scenes as this past weekend in Paris.
Perform administrative detention of suspected terrorists so that we can fix things preventively. If there is war Mr. Rutte, then they are the enemy. And then we have to lock them up. There is no alternative.
If you do not, you're not a leader of the Netherlands, you are the department patching things up, you are the department who spares the rod and spoils the child, you are the department looking the other way, you are the bending department for Brussels and kneel for Merkel.
If you do not lock up those people, then I call off my confidence in you.
And finally, one last sentence, that Islam does not belong in the Netherlands. As long as we do nothing, attacks will keep coming. And I know, you all don't want to hear this. But it is the truth.
