Revenge of the past - Merkel and the German Democratic Republic
"We can do it!” The Chancellor says in mantra. A similar slogan was already in circulation, and even then it had availed little for the powerful in charge.
On the occasion of an SED (Sozialistische Einheitspartei Deutschlands or Socialist Unity party Germany) congress in November 1981, the leadership of the Party commissioned ten different billboard types, in which the role of the SED, in building socialism in the first German workers and peasant’s state, should be adequately appreciated. On one of the posters two hands engage vigorously together.
On top of it is printed: "Our thanks apply to you, the party".
On another print is a farmer, with the words "We can do this!” The woman is wearing grey and blue dungarees, is strongly built, has a bob, and looks confusingly similar to the Chancellor Angela Merkel, who might have looked like that 30 years ago.
We do not know who the woman in the picture, the sentence "we will make it" however, the almost the literal anticipation of the sentence, Angela Merkel has said in early September, unleashing the crisis which paralyzes the Federal Republic and shakes it to disaster.
Merkel is ruling like a feudal princess, and millions of people ask themselves every day what the Chancellor wants to achieve, what she is up to, and what her plan is. Astonished we take note that in a country composed of 16 provincial governments, 16 state parliaments, 16 prime ministers, a federal parliament, a federal council, a federal president and thousands of civil servants, all depends on what the Chancellor wants and decides. She determines not only the guidelines of the policy, which can be just a word or a stroke of the pen, to open or close borders , even override laws and wipe all doubts about the wisdom of her authoritarian decisions off the table. Angela Merkel rules cold and harsh, giving hardly space for her allegiance to rebel. No other Chancellor has ever dared, to be so abusive and destructive to the Federal Republic. Democracy is suddenly out of sight.
Psychologically we know that people are shaped and characterized during childhood.
Merkel’s father was a Lutheran, and the family moved from West to East Germany Templin in 1954, due to receiving a pastorate at the church in Quitzow. Merkel was a member of the Free German Youth (FDJ), the official youth movement sponsored by the ruling Socialist Unity Party. Merkel worked and studied at the Central Institute for Physical Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences in Berlin-Adlershof from 1978 to 1990. After being awarded a doctorate for her thesis on quantum chemistry she worked as a researcher and published several papers.
Merkel and Lothar de Maiziere, 1990
In 1989, Merkel got involved in the growing democracy movement after the fall of the Berlin Wall, joining the new party Democratic Awakening. Following the first (and only) multi-party election of the East German state, she became the deputy spokesperson of the new pre-unification caretaker government under Lothar de Maizière. In April 1990, the Democratic Awakening merged with the East German CDU, which in turn merged with its western counterpart after reunification.(Source Wikipedia)
The poster commissioned at the SED Congress in 1981 reminds us that the Chancellor was socialized in the GDR, in a system that had a disturbed relationship to reality until the last day of its existence. Officially, there was no poverty in the GDR, no unemployment, no xenophobia and no crime. Even the weather reports were falsified, when it was too hot or too cold, in order to reduce energy consumption of households.
“We can do this”, the motto of the regime that operated in a 5 years cycle. And now, “we can do it” not only applies to the growth of technology, engines, electrical cars and job creation in the country. It’s not about the saving of the rain forest, the serving of the international market with German goods and climate change. Now it also applies to the absorbing of refugees, who are often not even real refugees, as from the Balkan and Africa and from countries they fled to before deciding to head for Europe. “We can do it”, the propaganda of a colourful, open and tolerant country; all features Islam doesn’t want to know about. But it’s always about the poor refugees, not about the masses of men and even illegal immigrants with money, cell phones and demands.
Meanwhile the system is collapsing, people are even starting to arm themselves. And again, yes Germany and Europe needs immigration, but legal and qualified one, and not a tsunami of Muslim, mainly unqualified men, with the mentality of mediaeval behaviour, from which Merkel things to pick new employees. And the rest? They will bring the social welfare system to a fatal heart attack, or a stab wound, making it bleed dry.
But there is still hope and possibility. And either way it will go; the falling apart of the EU and Schengen, or its continuation with the same member countries or less; the surrounding countries of Germany are showing that Europe is not yet destroyed or have lost their sovereignty. Hungary has closed its borders, The Netherlands, France and Poland have a growth in national and Freedom parties, wanting to set an end to Merkel’s EU dictate. And in Germany, that development is slow, but there is a law, and if more people would know, it could be applied.
So let’s look at the present situation and position we are in now in Germany.
Article 20 of theBasic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany:
(1) The Federal Republic of Germany is a democratic and social federal state.
(2) All state authority emanates from the people. It is exercised by the people through elections and other votes and through specific legislative, executive, and judicial.
(3) Legislation is subject to the constitutional order, the executive and the judiciary is bound by law and justice.
(4) Against anyone who undertakes to abolish this constitutional order, all Germans have the right to resist, when no other remedy is possible.
Right of resistance:
Theright of resistance is generally a natural law or a positive law right of all people to rebel under certain conditions against state laws, or measures to deny the obedience.
This requires thata government body or a private person to undertake or eliminate as enshrined in Art. 20 paragraph 1 to 3 Basic Law of the constitutional order, as far as these rules pursuant to Art. 79 paragraph 3 Basic Law are unalterable.
The right toresistance is primarily aimed against state institutions that attempt to set by political decisions (laws, policies) the given constitutional order, through repeal to elimination or overthrow. It is already enough to try to abolish this constitutional order.
Theright of resistance rose at the end of a long historical development, which started on the absolutist background assumption that government action can never be wrong: "The King can do no wrong".
The people should be the judges, because the government is merely the representation of the people, and not the decision of the Commissioner, but which the contracting authority must be decisive.
Germany is in the most critical position, as it is Europe’s economic engine, torn between the USA and Russia, largest by population within the EU, and with a critical past. The Germans have learnt to always be good, never to harm anybody anymore, to please everybody, to even water down national pride; and yet it is observed to take a lead in many questions. That lead has become a lead without its own citizens and the people of the EU. Merkel has transformed herself to a genderless general, always in uniform and with a face of unflappability.
Millions of people ask themselves every day what the Chancellor wants to achieve, what she is up to, and what her plan is.
And we can only speculate about her motives, we can quit sure forecast the outcome if not halting the present process of the crisis. And one thing is for sure, the ones who haven’t built Europe, didn’t contribute to the system, and don’t value the culture, Human Rights, democracy and freedom are gaining more rights, and in such a speed no locals have ever experienced, that for sure we can dare to say that Markel is a traitor and article 20 of the Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany has to be enforced by the people, especially article 4.
